In the occasion of Melbourne StereoNET Hi-Fi Show 2019 (Oct, 18th – 20st), actually the most important event in Australia for the audiophile market, our Company attended the exhibition thanks to the partnership with Fundamental Audio, our exclusive Distributor for Australia and New Zealand.
For the occasion, Gaetano Conti, our Company Owner and representative of Solidsteel brand, since 1990 specialized in the manufacturing of Hi-Fi racks, High-End audio stands and speaker stands, had the pleasure of personally supporting our Partners by his presence during the show.
By the big effort of our Australian importer, significant for the audience is been the official presentation of the new VL Series (vinyl library racks) to the worldwide market which got huge approval from the many visitors and customers who passed by our booth and demo rooms.
Our aim is to be increasingly present at the most prominent industry events in the world such as the StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi Show, an event in which music is perceived by truly passionate visitors, aware to the quality of our “Made in Italy“. That’s why our Australian experience has been a short-but-intense period of work with extremely positive results in terms of products diffusion, with a wide presence in several exhibition spaces.
We invite you to check all the pictures below and related gallery on our website for discovering more.
Solidsteel has perceived the need to be massively present in the Australian growing market.
Before deepening what happened at the event, we have to mention that if in recent years the Solidsteel brand has grown in notoriety and prestige in the Australian country, the merit is undoubtedly due to the excellent work done and programmed by our Distributor. We had the pleasure to work closely to everyone from Fundamental Audio and Selby Acoustics Team, which gave us the possibility of discovering right in place all the organization, the spaces and offices by which our Importer is constantly supporting us. It has been a huge satisfaction meeting great people and workers who really believe in our project.
The feedback is that we could never be better represented in Australia and New Zealand than with them.
Our Journey
Gaetano’s first aussie day. A quick tour around Melbourne, visiting amazing places in company of Shaun O’Brien (Fundamental Audio Company Owner) and his wife Suzan.
It’s been Bloody Marvelous!
After a beautiful morning spent at Fundamental Audio’s headquarter, Gaetano took a picture with the whole crew. Cheese!
Selby Acoustics has multiple shops. We visited the one in Thornbury.
Here is a nice overview of our Hi-Fi racks supporting the audio systems on display.
In this picture there’s an S5-5 advanced audio rack in black finish.
Another side of the showroom in which our High-End audio furniture is supporting some amazing Yamaha audio components and Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers.
On the big wall, there are several S2 audio racks assembled in a custom configuration and an awesome HS-4 Hyperspike High-End stand in gloss black finish.

A cool idea for accommodating a Tivoli Home audio system could be choosing our S3-3 Hi-Fi rack in walnut finish. Nice job!
Our Main Booth & Partners Demo Rooms
Here we are at the show!
On Oct, 17th we had a very tough preparation day where we assembled and set up 15 models between Hi-Fi & High-End audio racks, speaker stands and power-amp stands. Our whole catalog is been displayed with articles both from the S Series and the Hyperspike range.
The job is done and from this picture we can have an overview on the left side of our main booth.
Many good LPs and records have been carefully collected in our VL-3 Vinyl Library rack, as said before its first worldwide display!
If by any chance you already checked out our Munich High-End 2019’s experience, you will easily recognize this Hyperspike prototype rack.
In this custom stand we decided to display for demonstration the three new beautiful finishes added on catalogue: Indonesian Ebony Macassar (on Top shelf), Indian Rosewood (second shelf) and American Natural Walnut (bottom shelf). Click here for further details!
On the right side of our main booth we had a full display of our Hyperspike range.
Big protagonist as usual, our SS Speaker Stands, a flagship in production since 1992.
Thanks to Pure Music Group, Australian Distributor for High-End audio products, for using a pair of our HY-4 Hyperspike audio racks in their room.
Kii Audio‘s speakers were playing when this photo has been taken.
The same audio room as above with ATC Loudspeakers on air.
Big thanks to Polk Audio for having chose our S2-4 Hi-Fi rack. Those Marantz electronics looked perfect on them!
Same audio system, different collocation and NS-6 Speaker Stands supporting Polk Audio‘s bookshelf loudspeakers.
A special prize for our S2-4 Hi-Fi rack? We bet the system was playing great with those Revel loudspeakers!
In this room our S3-3 Hi-Fi stand in walnut finish supported an audio system featuring Harbeth and Sonus Faber speakers.
Many visitors reported this room as one of the best in the show.
We believe our SS-6 Speaker Stands did the job matched to those Australian Brigadiers speakers!
Love for vinyls never ends. Australian knows!
Gaetano Conti for the whole Solidsteel Team thanks you all readers!
